I don't have a belly ring. I would say you shouldn't get one until your around 17 or 18. If my daughter wanted a belly ring, she would have to wait until she was 18.

You have to be 18 to have a body piercing. Some places may allow a parent to sign for an underage minor, but a lot of them won't.
Belly rings are very high maintenance and take forever to heal, if they ever do. They catch on everything... And leave a crappy scar when you finally take them out. If you get one, make sure you take good care of it and try not to snag it on anything.
