my outside facet has to be replaced and i was quoted $220.00 for the job. sounds like alot of money even tho it will be winter-proof non-freeze etc. for life!

I just paid a master plumber $129.00 to do that very job. He had to cut away the old faucet and solder the new one onto the copper pipe. Unless you are an experienced plumber, I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself.

go to home depot and ask if they have a DIY class on it. Their classes are free and then all you have to pay for is the parts.
