The answer is 2.
If you need help with square roots just remember a square root is any number multiplied by itself.
2*2=4 thus the square root of 4 is 2
3*3=9 thus the sq. root of 9 is 3
4*4=16 thus the sq. root of 16 is 4
get the idea! And so forth, it works with all numbers. Sometimes you will end up with a decimal, but there is a square root of every number but 0.
