For me it's what your comfortable with. I never knew my dad, so my Grandad has the honer of being call Daddy by me. Someone said that is a child like saying, but i believe there is an amount of respect that follows. I don't always call him Daddy just when i feel comfortable or when i try to get something from him (lol).
If you have respect for your parents then it doesn't matter how you call them.

no not really i'd say about 10-12 is when they stop saying daddy, but in Hollywood they have made a sterotype that all spoiled rich girls call they're father daddy, so now it seems like alot of girls have started calling they're fathers daddy. personally i say dad

Yes, I still call my father Daddy. When I was younger, I tried to call him dad, but he wasn't having it. He said that he didn't like the word dad and he refused to answer me when I used it. Now I'm just accustomed to using Daddy so that's what I call him.

Because they will always be DADDY's little girl.
Daddy is simply more endearing than "Dad" which implies I'm grown up and don't need to call you "Daddy" anymore.
PS: I'm Canadian. I call my dad Papa (cause he's Italian).
My kids call us Mom, mommy, dad, daddy, depending how they are feeling.

Calling your father "Daddy" is not childish. In the south many many people (especially women) call their fathers "Daddy" until the day they die. Just because you don't say Daddy, doesn't make the rest of us childish because we do call them Daddy. Even my brothers call him daddy, and my oldest brother is 50!

J R Ewing always said to Cliff Barnes "that's no way to talk about my DADDY" and by the way, if you haven't already noticed, J R was a man. Catch ya later, when your legs are straighter, DADDY!
