You know the scene where Rufus (Chris Rocks character) is telling Bethany (the last scion) about how dangerous it is for people to have beliefs and that they should have IDEAS instead because ideas can be changed easier than beliefs? I think it's when they're on the train but I'm not 100% on that. Anyhow...I was wondering if someone who has the movie could please watch it and give me the exact quote of what Rufus says there. I don't have it but I saw it on TV last night and I really liked what he said and would like to have it written down. If you could help me out here I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

Rufus: He still digs humanity, but it bothers Him to see the **** that gets carried out in His name - wars, bigotry, but especially the factioning of all the religions. He said humanity took a good idea and, like always, built a belief structure on it.
Bethany: Having beliefs isn't good?
Rufus: I think it's better to have ideas. You can change an idea. Changing a belief is trickier. Life should malleable and progressive; working from idea to idea permits that. Beliefs anchor you to certain points and limit growth; new ideas can't generate. Life becomes stagnant.

They simply celebrity within the spin-off "jay and silent bob strike again" however they so make cameo appearances in other kevin smith films they are able to be noticeable in: clerks, clerks 2, dogma, chasing amy (in brief), and mallrats (they're in this one alot)

If you don't get your answer, may I suggest that you rent the movie and watch it again? Matter of fact, rent the following...Clerks, Mall Rats, Chasing Amy, Dogma( of course), Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, .....you get the picture. Makes for an interesting Marathon.
