If you mean your Yahoo e-mail: Open the Yahoo mail
Click on Options
Center column look for Vacation Response
Fill in the start and end dates
Type a message
Anyone who e-mails you during that time will receive your message back as an e-mail

It would be better to send a message to your contacts before you go on vacation.
But if you really want to do it, Yahoo Mail has that feature accessible from the "Mail Options" menu.When a user sends you a message when you have turned on Vacation Response, they will receive only one response, no matter how many times they send you a message.

If u are using Yahoo mail.. At the mail tab, click on Options. Then look under Management and look out for Vacation response and then just fill up the duration etc...

What, just in case people miss you? Surely all your 'real' friends know you're going away. If they're cyber buddies why should they care. Why not just email the friends that matter and tell them you're going away.

Simple, just change your yahoo messenger to auto-login so that even if there is power interuption, your messenger will still log u in. change ur status from "online" to "on vacation". that way all ur contacts will know that your on vacation.
