That happened to me the first few weeks i used my epilator, i think your skin just needs to get use to it, make sure that you exfoliate your legs as so not to cause any ingrows, after a few weeks you will notice less of the bumps then they'll completely dissappear.

Hi the best thing to do is not use an epilator , the reason you get spots is because it rips the hair from the root and this is why they swell up. There is nothing you can use to get them down. Just use a razor and bin the epilator.

Make sure the epilator, your skin, and your hands are very clean before you start. Ripping hairs out at the root leaves pores open for a while, allowing irritating bacteria in. This is what could be causing your spots. Cleanliness is the way to go!

I have the same problem, your legs will eventually get used to the use of the epilator. However, mine came with an icepack and I find that if I rub that over after the lumps become minimal. Also try using a cream that contains vitamin e and aloe vera after

You should be seeing an Electrologist.
Almost all of them stock Tend Skin btw which was recommended by another poster (this is an excellent product).
Electrolysis is still the only method of hair removal allowed by the FDA to say "Permanent Hair Removal".
With a good Electrologist you will see truely permenant results within 12-18 months. Legs are a large area so it will be a commitment of time also.
Expect to spend several thousand dollars (probably between 3-5k) for areas as large as legs but you will be truely permenant.
What is that worth?

I have the same problem have you tried using an exfoliator? There are plenty of good body scrubs out there.
I used to use a product by Nair now Veet it stopped ingrowing hairs, which could be why you are getting the red spots.
Good luck

think you have sensitive skin, talk to the dock about it.
do you suffer if you shave or wax, or just epilate?
some iritation on the first few use of an epilator is usual, how long have you used one for?

That is ingrown hairs which you can also get from waxing. To stop this from happening you need to exfoliate thoroughly before you epilate.

I usually get these spots when I use mine but they only last an hour or so.I used to put a clear lotion on my legs before and after.

Have you heard of Veet? Or does waxing make you spotty too?
See a beautician and ask advice!
