I'm hip to what you are saying. If you are serious about it. I have been telling people for weeks now on this sight they should be down on their knees daily, thanking God for George W. Bush and his leadership. For us to have gone through eight years of Al Gore, or even four (or eight) years of John Kerry, the country would be a significantly different place than we have now, and it would not be for the better.

Hey, I'm a child of God too, even though I'm an atheist. Sure, no one is perfect, but few are as sinister as Bush and the war-profiteering cartel he supports. Bush has sent children to their deaths in a war that didn't need to happen. That's not very Jesus-like at all. THEN, he made a joke about those same children dying in their attempt to find the WMDs that did not exist!!! See link below. Satan was a child of God, too, yes? Hm....

"if your a christian but you hate your brother your in danger of hell fire. i know he has a few problems, but who is perfect enough to throw the first stone"\

The problem here is that many of you on the Christian right (i am a Christian myself by the way) have no problems showing deep hatred for Bill Clinton, Al Gore, John Kerry and Democrats in general. Apparently you guys don't think the whole thing about hatred applies to you in regards to that.

As for Bush, he makes it very easy to dislike him, especially with his consistently using a character assassin like Karl Rove who uses very un-Christian like tactics to run campaigns.

Amen! I believe that he is truly a Christian. Billy Graham is the one that led him to faith in Christ many years ago. And yes, you are correct, only those who have accepted Christ as personal Lord and Savior can claim the title "Child of God."

We're all children of God.

Even Arnold. Are you going to hell for this:

"I'm getting pretty fed up with Arnold, are you?
this guy is signing more and more liberal bills every chance he gets. how long before lets the sexual predators out of jail. how long before he's a complete left wing idiot. the bills that he signs negatively affect the family and every sane institution there is."

Talk about throwing stones.

I do not hate, but I do not agree with MANY of the things that the Bush administration has done. He may be a Christian, but to be completely honest, it seems to me that many of his "Christian Morals" have gone completely awry. But I do need to remember that it is not always the president who makes the decisions, he does have to go to the Senate, and I don't know that all of the Senate is made up of upstanding, Christian people.

So, now we have to be perfect to hold our leaders accountable?

And, if I dare to hold him accountable with my imperfections I am in danger of 'hell fire'. Nice.

I suppose we are also terrorists and threat to national security. God help anyone who disagrees with you commies.

By the way, I am also a child of God. So, you disagreeing with me makes you also in danger of hell fire. And, you just threw the first stone. You are damned by your own theology.

Yes, I knew that, and I am so proud to have a President that is not ashame of Jesus Christ.
Following is an excerpt of "Do You Know Who Your Father Is?" by James Merritt.

"Do You Know Who Your Father Is?"
By James Merritt
Romans 8:14-17

INTRODUCTION

1. Now under different conditions that could be an extremely insulting question, particularly to your mother. But I am not speaking here naturally, I am speaking supernaturally. I'm not speaking physically, I am speaking spiritually. That is a legitimate question.

2. You see, physically everyone has only one father, and can only have one father. But spiritually, you have one of two fathers. Jesus said on one occasion to the Pharisees, "You are of your father the devil." (John 8:44a) The vast majority of people in this world today are, at this moment, children of the devil. But there are those who have become the children of God.

3. Now there are three key words to keep in mind if you are going to determine who your father is. The first is the word faith. The second is the word family. The third is the word father. For it is by faith that you enter into the family of God, and therefore have God as your Father.

4. John 1:12 says, "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name."

5. Now this verse speaks of our acceptance into the family of God. But the passage before us deals with our adoption into the family of God. Though both of these concepts are different, they are indivisible and uniquely related to each other. Practically every Christian knows that to get into the family of God you must be born into that family. That's why Jesus said to Nicodemus if he wanted to enter into the kingdom of God, he must be a part of the family of God, and to be a part of the family of God he must be "born again."

Matthew 7:21
Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

I think he is full of it. I don't think he as religious or as spiritual as he claims. He needs to act a certain way to look more religious to the Christian Right within the Repooplican Party.

I think he's a false Christian - like many so-called Christians in this country who pick and choose parts of the Bible based on what's convenient for their own lives.
