I just like hearing about fortunate situations in one's life. It would get me into a better mood, maybe a little hopeful.

Playing Spades on pogo.com... Its where I met my future husband. We met in real life 3 months later and 3 years later we were married.
We now have a 5 month old son.
This is the best thing that happened in my life!

The best day was when I brought my twin Boys home from the hospital.
They were born 12 weeks premature and the possibility was there that they would not live.

They are now happy, healthy, thriving 5 year olds who are going to school in 2 weeks...;(

I am a Practicing Christian!! And darn proud of it!!!!

Undeserving as I am of it, and I can hardly overemphasize that point, I have had so many blessings visited upon me that it is hard to choose amongst them.

I was raised in a loving family by two fine parents who are still alive.

I married the girl of my dreams 31 years ago, and she hasn't rethought that decision yet.

She bore two wonderful healthy childen into our family of whom I am very proud and count as the greatest accomplishments of my life.

I am surrounded by dear friends whose love and loyalty I cherish.

I have two brothers who are both "go to the wall for you" kind of guys.

I got a terrific job 27 years ago in which I get to work with some of the finest minds in the nation. Though I am uniformly the dullest wit in the room whenever we convene a meeting, they tolerate me, and even I think respect me.

Oh yes, and I was born in the United States of America--the greatest nation the world has ever seen.

The best thing that happened in my life is my surrendering to the grace of God... That is to say, my being blessed with the love and knowledge of God!!! That Jesus took the time to find this lost sheep and bring me into His family is just... Well... Words fall waaaaaaay short on this...!

To know that He loved me before I loved Him, that He laid down His life for me and everybody else, that He rose again from the dead as it is written...! That I am able to read, meditate, ponder, and share His love and words with others is a miracle in and of itself that far too many of us take for granted...! To know that I'll spend forever with Him and our Christian family in eternity...? It just doesn't get any better than that...! Whew...! IT'S ALL GOOD...! =)

Number one, and without sounding stupid...it is when I surrendered my life to serving the Lord Jesus.( for real now,.,)
( I know many get turned off by this, because it is used toooo superficially)
and....when I got married..and had several children, even though I married a hard core military type man, I loved my children and made the best of it. I had to learn to stand up in respect for who I was, and in respect of my husband...I really learned how to stand up to him, and others, in the right way....that in itself was a big turning point in my life. lol

Being around to witness my son growing up and maturing every day for the last 11 years. I know it sounds sappy, but it really has been a gift to be so involved in his life before he gets that teenage attitude and won't allow me to be seen with him!!!

Wow I can't just pick one God has blessed me so much ! but if I had to pick just one I would say that it would have to be finding my husband . he has been a real blessing in my life. I was in the hospital for a month close to death. and without him there I'am sure I would have died. just knowing he was there by my side made all the difference in the world.

I had a daughter after 8 specialists told me it was impossible. After several doctors said she would never raise her head, walk, talk, she did anyway. She is 15 and at the head of her class! Take that medical science!

I don't do that kind of thing because there is no ONE best thing. Lots of things are great about life.
Best thing of the day...you and I woke up. I'd rather think of it that way.
