Do you think they are an underated rock band because of their heritage?? I listtened to their new CD....It is amazing. The can play Rock, blues, latin...they are a family..how cool are they!! I wonder if they are getting blackballed like because of the ongoing tensions between mexico and america...I mean these guys are all Texans...I won't them to get more airtime!!

They are a good band, indeed. But less airplay because of their heritage? Please. What genre do they fit in becuase that is what type of station will be playing their music. The one single that hit "Heaven" was a pop standout but the rest of their music is not true pop (thank god).
IMHO, they will be unheralded by the general populace but loved by the critics. Lots of bands are like that. Then maybe they will have some crossover hits and score a wider fanbase. Unfortunately talentless losers (insert Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan, etc, etc. here) get the hype.
But heritage? No.
Music style? Yes.

Latin music is a tough sell in markets that haven't gotten the full gamut of its appeal yet. Los Lonley Boys did have a big hit on the pop scene - "Heaven" - and they will probably again, but if they're looking to put one on rock stations accross America, I'm not sure how much success they're going to have. Latin tends to be considered a "pop" genre and gets treated as such, though I'm confident that will change.... just not very quickly.

They are great, and I do think they are underrated, but I'm not sure if it is because of their heritage. It's an interesting theory though.

you should petition your local radio station to play their music more and maybe start a fan website to help spread their music and let more people know about them.
