My girlfriend and I have been met about 10 months ago but we've been dating for 6 months she's leaving for college in January but I don't want her to go. We are engaged right now and I'm afraid if she goes away our relationship will end. What do I do?

If you really love "this person" which I am sure you do because you ask the question...then making that sacrifice of being apart wont matter! It will work ONLY if YALL make it work!

Good luck to you and your Luv!!

If you asked her to stay, it seems that you want her life to be tangled with yours, where she still would not be independant and live her own life.

Yes the association with her, especially through engagement is very powerful.. but trust that if it she is not that far away from you, things will work out.

I reckon a visit at least once a fortnight in these situations, as well as the phone calls should help keep things in order!

And as DAVID R rightly said, "If you love something set it free, if it comes back to you it's your's, if it doen't it never was."

No you shouldn't ask her to stay. If you love her and what the best for her college is the move. Stop worrying about the relationship ending and focus on supporting her while she's away.
And if the relationship doesn't last then thank God that you were given the chance to realize that. Best Wishes!!!

you have to let her go to school and tell her you are proud of her. DO NOT hold her back. why dont you get a life and go to school too?

if your relationship ends when she leaves then it wasnt much of a relationship to begin with.

to be honest...most relationships DO end when people go off to school. let her live...dont tie her down. is she stays with you then consider yourself lucky. if she meets someone new, which she might, then you move on too. but dont put all ur eggs in one basket. college is 4 years of her life. shell meet a lot of poeple. you cant expect her to settle down before she has even lived yet. colelge was the best 4 years of my life

look you dont want to hold your girl back from a education, she needs if she wants it. But I will tell you this, I was with my now wife for 3 years in a long distance relationship and we are great, and our relationship is great. If you truly love her then you will support her in what she wants to do. Dont discourge her because if you do get married and you did hold her back, it might be a huge fight or something she will hold a grudge against you on.
Visist her, Call her, Love her, telol her how proud you are of her, if she truly loves you your relationship with last.

You accept the fact that she is going to college to get a good education.

Go with her..!
It's very wrong of you to ask her not to have an education and be with you..!In the end she will regret it..and it will be your fault...if u love her go with her...if u don't think that love her so much..sit down...shut up and wait for her to come back!!!!!

no. let her live her life. if shes here you will feel guilty from not letting her go to collage and have a future. if you truly loved her you would let her go. or go to her collage lol. but let her live her own life. shes a big girl. education is everything.

hope i helped
