especially in highways where cars go faster, and where there are little dips in the road. it looks like a large, very long and even oil patch but i have trouble thinking that this is caused by vehicle drippings. most visible on aerial shots of highways.

NOT the paint marks. the line that's like two feet wide and it looks dirty. notice the part where the tires meet contact with the road is "cleaner" and the middle part, under the car itself, it's darker and it's not because of intentional coloring by the government.
