I see what's going on here. Its a midget man dressed up as a cat and he's keeping a low profile. Whenever you go to bed tonite he'll make with the loot and bring it back to the shopkeeper and they'll share the profit. Simple as pie.

Sounds like they sold you a rabbit. Don't worry though they taste much better grilled or baked than cats.

I doubt that he sold you something else, however anything is possible. Go to your local vet and ask, they will be able to tell you and I don't think that they would charge for something like that.

perhaps it is a chinchilla but take it to the veterinarian just to make sure. There should be no charge
