I like going on to keep in touch with my long-distance friends that I can't talk to otherwise, but now, it's just getting to be annoying. You pour all of your energy into making your profile look presentable and putting up as many ackward-angled pictures of yourself as you possibly can, and then whine if no one comments them. I dunno.. what do you all think?

Myspace is just what you make of it. I have alot of friends in the music ind. and its a great way to keep up with them and what they are doing all in one place. If your lokking for love or something, yeah that would suck.

I use it more as a way to keep in touch with friends in my local area - they post bulletins with opportunities to get together. I also blog quite regularly, but that is for me -I enjoying sharing what I write, but I often disable comments - it's drives me nuts when people comment without really having something to say.
As far as it being a waste of time and energy - I suppose that depends on the reasons for using it.

No, i dont think myspace is a waste of time. if you have nothing better to do then there is nothing wrong with it. Its stupid if you have like 698567549876 friends that you don't even know but its to talk to people and for people to keep in touch with other people. And unless your like a 50 year old man pawning lil girls

MySpace has to many System Errors, they need someone who knows what they are doing, who works on there System. Yea its good on contacting friends, but getting the friends on there to comment or do anything really is just about boring. Well thats what I think.

My Space is OK if you don't let it overcome you.
Most of my children are on it, so I like it....it gives me a chance to give positive comments to them, and to my friends. I try to make it fun for others, and yes, I've been hurt with some responses, but see some have a need to lash out because they are hurting...Do not lash back, but see the need there.
It's just another tool that can be enjoyed or overused, or annoying,..only if you allow it to be a obsession.

hey wutz up, i have a page on myspace. sometimes it can be a waste of time, but it is also somtin that you can do when you are not doing anytin and theres is nothin interesting on television or on the radio and there is no food to eat in the fridge. lol. so yea it can also be somtin to pass the time.

I personally don't think it is a waste of time... but I pretty much had dedicated it to my husband, and my sons. I have to say though recently I have made mine private and have been deleting a lot of dead weight off my list - people who I didn't know personally.
