That's a long way off, depends really. They have 2 different styles of play. They both are good players, but in different ways. If becks can keep his fitness and form up, i cant see any reason why he cant play in 2010. English fans should be proud to have such a talented player. He has just signed a new 2 year deal with real, so that shows you the manager still has faith in him.

No Beckham will not play in the next world cup. The only way he will be the next Zidane will be if he starts head butting people .... even then though I doubtr hw will do it as well as zidane ;)
Becks is not past it yet. But there is not a chance he will play in the next world cup!

nelal, great people like Zidane are just one of a kind. Beckam has shown his best in the past and there is a slight ray of hope that he can display more of his talent but if you are a true football fan I'm sure you'll agree with me that no one can be as great as zizu.....

Aaron Lennon - dont make me laugh. The guy has not got any experience at all playing in David's roll. To answer the question, No I dont think DB will be part of the next world cup, and if Steve Mc asks him to play any qualifying matches at all, I think David should retire from international football and stuff it right up SMc and TV arses. Personally, i hope we dont even qualify for the European Champsionships......thats will stuff "the best thing since unsliced bread - John Terry" right up it as well

Not a chance. Zidane was an alrounder who could do anything. Becks, whilst one of the Worlds dead ball specialists, is limited in a game and would not have the same impact.

You've got to be having a laugh! Beckham couldn't hold a candle up to Zizou. He's been dropped from the England squad! The only reason Real Madrid keep him is because he's a famous name and good for endorsing the Real Madrid franchise. Otherwise they'd sell him in a second.

No i don't think so... ZZ was a complete alrounder player. He was good in almost all department on the pitch. Becks is only a great free kicks taker from my point of view.

wasn't beckham supposed to lead us to victory in the last 2 world cups?
differences between beckham and zidane -
- beckham can't head
- beckham can't tackle
- beckham can't run past a man
- beckham isn't particularly skillful
- beckham wears women's clothes
- beckham's a pússy; zidane's a hard-áss
beckham has never been anywhere near as good as zidane. even when he was at man u he wasn't as good. he's gone downhill since joining madrid. he was a poor captain, a bad motivator. he should never have been captain.
he doesn't even play for england anymore. mcclaren's starting a new era and has dropped beckham. he won't be playing again.
