People can be the first to answer and then edit their wrong answer once the information appears later on. They appear as the first one to answer with the correct idea yet they are stealing the ideas of others.
What should be done?

I called the one guy out in adding details on my answer but I agree. The only way would to put an edited answer to the bottom.

Once it gets into hours the seconds are removed and then it looks like nothing has changed.

I noticed this being done...some people just put some random placeholder so they are first, then they put a real answer once they see other people's answers so it seems everyone else copied off of them. If I see some random thing or just a single character, I give it a poor rating. I'm not sure what they can do to fix this...I wish they would though, I'm getting jipped out of a lot of best answer points.

Is it really that big of a deal? I didn't realize we were all in competition to be the first with a correct answer. I thought the purpose of yahoo answers was to provide people with accurate answers to their questions. Of course, I could be wrong...

Actually, if you check the time, you can see a difference.
Watch to do this I will edit may answer after someone below me answers and check out the time difference.

It usually shows when a person edits their answer, so I don't think you should worry about it. Plus, this is a website of opinions. Does it really matter who said it first?

I dunno. Maybe people can stop looking into this that much. Let it go. If people need to cheat on "Yahoo Answers" then let the baby have its bottle. Who cares is my answer!!!
