how do i know if a book is worth money?

i just need to check on some books like pogo, dr. seuss etc

try amazon.com for books, on that site they have people who have read the books giving their reviews on whether they liked it or not.

you can go to e bay and look at the starting bidding price. Usually the buying price is a little high, so don't go by that.You can also go to book selling sites that sell used books from qualified sellers, like barnes and noble or amazon. Look at the median price that they offer, usually the cheapest price is rediculously low. If the books are really old, try going to an antique dealer, or someone in your area who is qualified to sell used books. Usually though they wont look at a book unless it is really old or valuable.

Look for them on E-bay. Basically the current price is reflected nicely in the bidding price for these books.

look at the year printed... early edition, first edition of a book long long out of print will always fetch a good price from book dealers

go to the library and check it out... then read it. if you dig it, then its worth it... if not - then it isnt.
