you can try going back too the store you purchased your computer from and see if they have a restore disk available,if your computer is still under warranty or even the store warranty.
most computer stores have a tech support place where they can do upgrades and minor repairs,they might have a disk they can give you that they keep around for solving problems.....dunno if this will work for you but it might be worth a try.

depending on how old your laptop is you may be able to restore form the hard drive and possibly be able to create more restore disk. look in START/PROGRAMS/PC HELP & TOOLS for restore options or compaq recovery or compaq recovery cd-dvd creator

Go to the store that you bought it from or buy CD form the company. Run you about $75-90 ...

you can re-order them from compaq, but they aren't cheap. About $75
