I remember speaking to the directors suite in Manchester but the call centre who refuse to deal with my complaint will not give me the telephone number who who i need to go to escalate my complaint.

you wont get anybody other than the call centre manager at the highest level. you'd be best to write a letter to them and address it for the chairman. if he gets it is another matter. if you get it recorded delivery and royal mail has an electronic signature you can track online then you may be responded to by phone. make sure you put your email in the letter

Don't bother with the management, they got the service in the mess its in in the first place. Contact OFCOM.
