I want to drop out of school. I'm 16 years old. Yes, I'm completely aware of the decision I want to make. Yes, I'm sure I want to make that decision..

Please don't tell me I'm making the wrong decision, I myself know it's the wrong decision, I myself know what I will face seeing what my mom has faced. But I don't care.

Talk to your counselor at school she can help you but.. that is a huge mistake. Talk to your parents whats going on that is making you want to drop out?..
If you have seen what your mother has faced why would you put yourself through that?
Well hun, if you have really thought about it and seen what your mom has gone through and still want to do it.. i guess there is nothing anyone can say if your mind is made up.. you will need to talk to your counselor and have him/her start the paperwork b/c if you just stop going your mom could be in big trouble and be turned over to a prosecutor..

if u want to drop out fine...but have a plan before u do it. What are your dreams? How are u going to make them real?
You are 16 now in 4 years u will be 20. Where will u live? What would you like your life to be like? Do you want a car? A house? a family? holidays? How much will it cost to live that dream? Check out the job adverts, how much cud u earn.
It's your life and u are in control, BUT u only got one life and u have to make sure u make the right decisions that keep yr choices open. If u don't finish school then lots of choices will be closed to u.
When u are 40 and in a dead end job with kids, no money and no life then it is 100% harder to turn your life around and change your life than when your are 16.
It's your life... you choose to live it or be a passenger

Looks like you won't get far in life whatsoever. It is sad that you know it is a wrong decision but want to do it anyway. Just as bad as seeing a pothole in the road and instead of going around it you go thru it and fall on your face. You need to seek counseling because just because your mom dropped out of school does not mean you should. You should want more out of life, staying in school, going to college, getting that good job so you can have the finer things in life. While you are struggling in life your friends will be high rollers laughing at you. Dropping out of school is not going to get you anywhere but a dead end. You will start to steal, lie and cheat. Then you will end up in jail somewhere. It is apparent you just do not care where you end up. Well do what you feel is best for you knowing that it is wrong but do not come on here crying like a baby just because things are bad all because you do not want to get an education and have better things in life. After reading your other question, you do not need to be getting some girl pregnant if you are lazy and want to drop out of school...that is not fair to the child. If you cannot take care of yourself then you cannot take care of her or the child. So I suggest you take a step into reality and rethink your options before doing anything drastic. Stay in school, go to college because in this day most jobs want someone with some college not just high school. If you cannot take care of yourself without living in a dump then you need to keep your pants zipped up and not get any girl pregnant because a baby requires a lot and you have NOTHING to offer a baby let alone the girl you plan on getting pregnant. You stated the both of you want to live together but you have no job since you want to quit school. How are you going to pay the bills? Hope you are not going to become some drug addict or theif stealing from society. If so, turn yourself in now and just go straight to jail because we do not need people like you running our streets just because you are being hard headed and lazy.

And who is going to take care of you if you are so lazy you don't want to go to school? Your parents? Not after you turn 18 I should think. They will want you to get a job and your own place. How are you going to do that without an education?
I moved out after I graduated high school , went to college and got married. I work and have a family. My kids keep their rooms clean and help around the house and they are 5 and 7.

If that is the choice you want to make, then you are the only one that can make it.
You know it is wrong. You know you will face a harsh road. You say you don't care. That will change cuz later on, you will care and no one to blame but yourself for your own choice. If you can't get a decent job with good pay etc, you can't complain about it since you already made your choice to go that route.
