I had never heard of this Ann Coulter untill a few weeks ago when her face was all over the news. Who is she, and what did she do that made everyone hate her? Im confused!?! Is she a politician? A celebrity?

She is a very conservative author who makes obnoxious and outrageous pronouncements like "the 9/11 widows are happy their husbands died in the towers, because now the widows get to be famous." (paraphrased)
She's a favorite on conservative talk shows too.

Put it this way... I'll add it later if I can find the wikipedia link again that somebody sent us here last week... there's a website where you try to guess which of twenty quotes are Hitler's and which are Ann Coulter's.
I'm usually a genius at trivia, but I guessed nearly every one wrong.
By comparison, Hitler was a pretty sane and likable guy.
That's all I'll ever need to know about Ann Coulter.
I remember one of her most recent quotes was that the whole world went to hell when women started being allowed to vote because women have no clue what the world is about-- they should all stay in the kitchen all their lives.
This type of statement usually infuriates me when a man says it. In Coulter's case ONLY, I tend to agree with it... as long as inside the gas oven is the place where Ms. Coulter should find permanent residence.

Ann Coulter is a hack writer who every couple of years comes out with a new book. The books are all about how liberals are godless communists who french kiss terrorists and conservatives are all true blue Americans.
In her most recent book she said about some of the widows of 9.11 victims "These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis. These self-obsessed women seemed genuinely unaware that 9/11 was an attack on our nation and acted as if the terrorist attacks happened only to them. ... I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much ... the Democrat ratpack gals endorsed John Kerry for president ... cutting campaign commercials... how do we know their husbands weren't planning to divorce these harpies? Now that their shelf life is dwindling, they'd better hurry up and appear in Playboy."
She's a vile human being who will say or write anything to increase sales of her books.

Ann Coulter is a conservative writer/pundit. To be totally honest with you, she lost her sister in 9/11, and I don't think she's really moved past the shock of that. Before 9/11, she was excellent at debating her point and was regularly featured on Mancow's Morning Madhouse. However, it seems like the loss of her sister was the ultimate indictment of liberal ideology (in her eyes), and her point has now moved to, "I'm right, you're wrong, leave me the *#$% alone!"

Why should it be surprising when a hateful person inspires hate in return?
Ann Coulter is such a Gorgon that, after 9/11 she wrote: "We should invade their countries, kill their rulers, and convert them to Christianity". Yeah, THAT would work! It reveals what kind of person she is. And there's more of that constantly spewing out of her.

She is a news columnist that writes a lot of editorials and commentaries for syndication. I think she is great. I think people don't like her because she's a bad mo fo. No one from the street will win an argument with her. She will cut them down so bad that they will go home crying. That's why people hate her. But, like I said, I think she's awesome.

She promotes hate.
She plagiarizes other authors.
