I think India because India has good brains and Indians are more innovative and enterprising whereas China is full of copycats. They may become super power but they need someone whom they can copy.

My bet would be on China. India had all the prerequisites when the British left: well organized administration, rule of law, etc. For decades they were not able to make much out of it. The infrastructure is still very primitive, the political system is chaotic, the disparity between rich and poor is enormous. In recent years, India has made the jump from stone age to the computer age without addressing these fundamental problems, That may come back to impact their economic development at some stage.
China on the other hand, seems to have a much more efficient government, consisting mainly of highly educated technocrats, making serious efforts to address the infrastructure and economic issues of the country in a pragmatic and efficient way. Compare that to the 'bible-little-Susie-apple-pie democracy' of George Bush! (Sorry, I couldn't resist to make that comment).

India is TOO SMALL to be a world power.

However, depending on the flux of power during and in the aftermath of World War III (whenever it may come) China may gain a substantial amount of power because of its huge-ness.

This would be a terrible occurrence for the USA, however, because then we would have the two largest countries in the world both engaged in Communism, and both disliking democracy. We could have millions and millions of Communist soliders on our a** faster than you can say "Ice cream cone".

Does that help?

India remains an ingredient of Commonwealth skill a million.25 billion human beings show satisfaction in licking boots of sixty two million human beings. nonetheless the ratio isn't as undesirable as earlier 1947 while 60,000 Brits have been ruling 4 hundred million Indians i.e. approximately 6666.sixty six Indians for each Brit. yet this time the ration is 20.sixteen purely. So Indians can show satisfaction that this time a Brit is merely 20.sixteen time greater suitable than an Indian. by how i elect to ask human beings and Britons one question and please answer it actual and to no longer pacify Indians. Which u . s . a . do you human beings take heavily: The Mandarin speaking substantial (China) or the British colony (India)? by heavily I mean which you are concerned the main like whose language, way of existence, financial device, protection tension etc. will and is able to complicated the american language, way of existence, financial device, protection tension etc.?

China - if world recognises hardwork
India - if it turns plain lucky (luck in the form of some shrewd politician)

Logically speaking and going by Fishballs account of the reality (and many other similar ones I've heard), it should be China.

Do you know how many people are going to bed every day without food? How many are sleeping on the streets with out shelter? How many are drinking water which is not even fit to flush down our toilets? How many female foetuses are destroyed every day? How many women are tortured & burnt for dowry every day? both are already at/close to being a superpower on the basis of size of military. I think Inida will become a more realistic super powere though as they have a more flexible, market driven, economy.
