Well it was your responsibility to go to the courts with proof that you were paying child support and demand that you see your child. If you cannot see the child because the mother wants to be difficullt, the is always the courts. My soon to be is having the same problem. He pays over $100 a week and the mother, granmother and greatgrandmother are telling the child that his father is no good and does not want anything to do with him. So now, the child being 6 yo, when his father calls him refuses to talk to him because of whatthey have put in his head. I'm very sorry that you are going throught this, but maybe you can have a sit down with your son and explain the reasons you were not able to be apart of his life. May God bless you and thank you for paying your child support. I have a 7 yo daughter and her father has not paid a lick of support yet. But he is married to a woman with 4 children and is supporting them as we speak. Leaving his other 3 children with no support. Its not too late for you to get in the childs life, don't let them keep you from your son. Good Luck!!

I don't know what all happened it your situation. But please don't judge all of us by your ex. I have children, and I let my ex see his children even when he wasn't paying child support because I realize no matter what I thought about him personally they were still his children with or without a monthly payment. Now this is what I expect from black men, to be treated like a lady, to be respected, I expect you to get up and go to work just like I do and above all I expect you to be faithful (just a small list of things). You see I don't expect anything that I'm not willing to do. Sometimes black men get a bad rap but I know there are some good ones out there. I have met some, I just didn't marry one. I know you have done your part with the child support but continue to try to see him even if you have to stop by his school just to say hi. This is to let him know that you care and love him no matter what.

No, that is not disrespectful. once you assert that Barack Obama is the 1st black President, you're in basic terms asserting a certainty. he's black, and persons must be damned proud that different races have have been on condition that a techniques. in case you informed somebody seventy years in the past that during seventy years time there would be a black president, then they'd have laughed on your face and would have concept which you have been delusional. yet seem what's surpassed off now.human beings must be proud.

The actions of your ex wife have nothing to do with the entire community of black women.

If she has kept your son apart from you,and you really wanted to see him then you would do whatever it takes to spend time with your son whether it took court, etc. But since you've never made the effort to volunteer and pay child suppport, which you can,or you haven't really been in his life I don't know what to tell you

From what i can see you have done your part as far as circumstances would allow, all you have to do now is make yourself right with your son and forget about everything else.

Color has nothing to do with a character flaw like that. She sounds selfish, and she made your child suffer for that. It has nothing to do with race. There are bad women every where you go. Makes the rest of us look like saints!
