You have 2 fallopian tubes that have an ovary at the end of each tube. One tube is attached to the left side of the uterus and the other is attached to the right side of the uterus (so one tube per side of the body). Typically the ovaries take turns every other month releasing eggs...this month the right side, next month the left side, and so on. So it just depends which month you conceive that will determine which ovary and fallopian tube were involved. In an average woman the egg is released on day 14 after you begin your period, if fertilization occurs it will implant in the uterus around day 7, and on day 28 you are missing a period.

You have two ovaries, one on the left and one on the right. A fallopian tube connects each ovary to the uterus. When you ovulate, either of the ovaries can release an egg. There is no pattern -- the ovaries do not necessarily alternate left-to-right each month. It is random which ovary happens to ovulate each month.
After the egg is released from the ovary, it travels into that ovary's fallopian tube, which leads to the uterus. It is here in the tube that the egg meets the sperm, and fertilizes. The fertilized embryo moves through the fallopian tube and into the uterus, where it implants. (Implantation occurs about 10 days after fertilization.)
So, fertilization can happen either in the left or right tube, depending on which ovary released the egg this month. Usually you won't know which side, but some women feel ovulation pain on either the left or right at the time when the egg is released. It is possible this is what you were feeling, but it's also very likely it was just a digestive twinge. If you happen to know that you are ovulating (using one of the methods to detect ovulation) then it is more likely you were feeling ovulation pain.
Best wishes, Maureen
P.S. I thought this was a very good question! Have you SEEN some of the other questions here ??? ;-)

It depends upon which ovary released an egg this month. Some months your left one will release an egg, some your right one will. So if it was your right ovary that released the egg that got fertilized, it will travel down your right fallopian tube.
I'm not sure what implantation day is, it probably depends upon your body, which day of your cycle fertilization occured, etc.

We have 2 fallopian tubes. Their openings face each other over the uterus. Both r capable of releasing an egg into the uterus.
