it depends if she is good or not, and if the team wants her. it also depends how long the contract is. If it is Diana Turasi, then her team would probably give her a 6-year contract, which she might get about 70,000-80,000 bucks. But if it like Cappie Pondexter, then the team would probably give her like a 4-year contract, for about 15k-20k.

I agree with some of the other answers. The first few seasons of the WNBA, the players were making a living wage of about $50K, but since new sponsors and TV contracts have come into play, the players make $60-$80K depending on the success of the team. Some WNBA teams are very successful and make money, so they can afford to pay slightly more, but the league has to think about profit and costs, and a 30 game season would not support the kind of salaries that NBA players make.

The first answer is way off - the average salary is nowhere near $100K. In fact, the maximum salary for 2006 is $91,000, so there's nobody in that league making six figures unless they reach incentives like winning awards or a championship.
According to this site, the salaries in 2006 range from $31,800-93K. The team salary cap is at $700K, so a team with a 12-woman roster would be averaging pay somewhere in the low-to-mid 50s, which isn't bad for part-year work, but not enough to live on without endorsement money or another job:

Well on average, they make about $11.50 an hour. Players like LL, Diana Turasi, Lauren and my wife Swin Cash, makes a lil more...just a lil.
