I assume you are asking about Eddie Gurrerro. He was an avid drug user. Not only hard-core illegal drugs like cocaine, herione, etc but also of steriods. This is widely documented. He had cleaned up his act a few years back and remained clean, but the previous abuse had weakened his heart muscle to the point in which it couldn't recover. Combined with the stress his body took in the ring, it eventually just gave out. its actually quite lucky he didn't die in the ring.

Professional wrestler Eddie Guerrero joins the list of wrestling stars who have died under mysterious circumstances at relatively young ages. Guerrero was found dead in a Minneapolis hotel room Sunday morning, just hours before a sold out WWE match he was scheduled to perform at was to occur.

The Sunday evening show was being revamped as a tribute to Guerrero, and will air Monday evening. His nephew, fellow WWE wrestler Chavo Guerrero, traveled with him to Minneapolis and found him in his room Sunday morning after Guerrero missed a wakeup call. Guerrero had just celebrated his fourth anniversary of sobriety from drug and alcohol addictions that nearly ended his professional career and marriage.

Video of a press conference featuring Vince McMahon and Chavo Guerrero can be seen here.

The list of deceased stars from the golden era of the WWE (known at the time as the WWF) and other regional wrestling promotions is a very long list, and features some well known names. Names such as:

Curt "Mr. Perfect" Henning
Rick Rude
Terry Gordy.
Davey Boy Smith
Brian Pillman
Hercules Hernandez
Road Warrior Hawk
Owen Hart
Miss Elizabeth
The Big Boss Man
Crash Holly
The Von Erich's (Kerry, Mike, David, and Chris)
Junkyard Dog
Big John Studd
Andre The Giant

An autopsy revealed that Guerrero died as a result of acute heart failure, caused by undiagnosed arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease and enlargement of the heart as a result of prior anabolic steroid abuse. Although Guerrero had not taken alcohol or illicit drugs for over four years, his past excesses contributed to his heart failure. At the time of his death, he had recently used narcotic painkillers.

Guerrero's wife Vickie said that he had been lethargic and unwell in the week preceding his death, but that this had been attributed to the stress of continuously traveling and performing. She added that the doctors had told her that Guerrero's blood vessels had shriveled and weakened owing to undiagnosed heart disease, and that he had simply dropped into a deep sleep.

On the November 30, 2005 edition of WWE Byte This!, Chavo Guerrero, Jr. said that Guerrero had been working very hard and was at peak physical fitness as a result, doing cardiovascular and weight training exercises every day. There had been no symptoms or cause for concern. Guerrero, Jr. noted that, while many people abuse drugs for over ten years with no ill effects, Guerrero, despite having ceased to abuse drugs four years earlier, had suffered heart complications that were not detected in time to prevent his death.

He had Heart Disease but he didn't know it. It was from all the drug and alcohol abuse from earlier in his career. He stopped taking any drugs for like 4 years but I read something that said around the time he died, he was taking special Pain Killers.
