Hello dear,
First of all listen that boredom & sadness are all the thinkings of our mind. We remain idle while thinking that and in meanwhile the rest world is running for competition.
I hav also the same problem of boredom, sadness, tension but at that time i try to share my problem with my family members or best friends. The "meditation" is also a good way to overcome sadness or boredom. U should learn the course of "Art of living". It is too good.
But i think the best way to leave the thing about which u feel bore or sad & to live our life joyfully. When i am sad, i always think for our life, the life we got is for only once, we should live it joyfully. We are not alone, we should also care for our family and others and not to stay in our boredom. If u follow these steps in ur thinkings then u will never have the problem of sadness or boredom.
Please refer to the following poem (it is only for u my dear friend):-
"Precious one....
so sweet.....
dancing in....
on angel feet.....

Straight from......
Heaven's.......
brightest star.......

What a miracle
you are............!

Ok bye

Have good time
with best regards,
Yours friend

It is well documented that physical activity of any kind - most particularly those activities in which you can exercise some competence (sport, diy etc) will help to lift mood. And, as explained by an earlier answer, there is a physical element, as the body is encouraged to release endorphins - which have a positive influence on mood. Of course depressed and anxious people do not find activity very appealling - but, inevitably, if attempted, 'affect' is always raised by it. It therefore pays to be strict and push yourself - even if only to go for a walk. Sport is a good release, because in addition to physical activity, it also requires the participant to engage with others in co-operative activity - and this means putting self-obsession aside for a welcome break, and, (hopefully), being valued by other people - both of which are very good for the spirit. Depression is essentially caused by low self-regard, and a feeling that the whole world is on your shoulders. Inevitably, it isn't - and its extremely important to get out, to engage in meaningful activity and put yourself in the company of others. Allow for the thought that, however badly you may feel about yourself, life does and will, change, and only good can come from re-engaging with life, looking outwards, rather than inwards.

Boredom and Sadness are part of our lives and if they are not existent we would never realize the importance of love and being free..

We need to accept everything as a part and parcel of life. In todays world there is no time to get bored, please involve yourselves with others, everyone has 7 creative points within themselves, so am sure if when alone, you can explore yourself rather than thinking about support from anyone else.
most importantly SPEAK OUT what you feel whether right or wrong and be a player in a game of life

Im no psycologist or anything, but I would think finding a physical activity that you enjoy.

Physical activity releases some sort of endorphins (i think that is what my Dr. said) and it helps to battle depression.... But it will also help with the boredom if you are up and moving around!!!
Good Luck!

Make changes. Boredom leads to sadness. If you are bored, you have a lot of extra time to fill. Do just that, fill your time with activities or work.

Go see you kids and grandbaby. They will keep you busy and spend all your money to. And if you don't have this yet then go rent some good movies. Go for a walk, just force yourself to do it. Always force yourself to get up and get about, try to pray to God also, this is a great way to list ones spirits!
