first thing I would do is tuck your left foot away so you are not tempted to try for the clutch!
follow the maual and take it easy, they are smooth and easy to drive, just use the right foot tho, dont try to use both

if u've driven manual all ur life stop worrying now that u've an automatic.. its hard to go from auto to manual but manual to auto is dead easy.. all u do is let the car run.. ok here r the steps:
1. start the car
2. depress the hand brake
3. Hold the brake pedal down and while doing so shift the automatic's stick into D r if u have a honda it might say D4..
4. while shifting u have to press the big button on the automatic shifter if there is one if there isn't then just shift the thing..
5. once u're in D just use the accelerator n the shifts happen by themselves..
6. when u do come to a dead stop always hold the brake till u start moving again..
7. also when u're on flat land the car will move forward if its in D and u're not holding the brake r accelerating.. the car moves slightly.
8. as for reverse its the same thing, just hold the brake pedal down n shift the lever into R.. then don't accelerate r brake, the car will move on its on backwards and u know just steer out of the parking lot..
9. thats it..
10. while driving in snow always press the O/D button for more traction n better power delivery.. if u don't have one then ignore the step..
11. while going uphill in a snowy road, shift the lever into 2 or L or 1.. hondas might say D3 then 2 n 1.. usually keep it in 2.. that means the gear will stay in second.. more power delivery that way n better pull..
12. As for parking switch to P and when u're switching the shifter, always hold the brake pedal down while shifting..
13. last but not least never use ur left foot.. just the right.. its easy u'll get used to it..
there u r...

The N is neutral. 4 is what u usually drive in and 3, 2 are for if ur goin up a hill. R is for reverse. The car starts going automatically when u go into gear. Use the accelerator to make the car go faster and the brake to slow down or stop. The hand brake is for emergencies or parking. That's all there is to it. Very easy.

Its very simple. If youve driven a manual one then this should be no problem at all. All you do it shift the gear into drive if you want to drive straight by pushing the brake paddle instead of clutch. And then push the gas paddle without worrying about releasing the brake paddle unlike in the manual transmission where you have to release the clutch slowly. And to go reverse do the same thing and when parked , put the gear on park.

You just put it in drive, reverse, or park. You can't take out the keys unless the car is in park. It will take a while before you stop trying to push in the clutch. Oh and in order to take the car out of park, you have to push on the brake.
If you prefer driving faster, I would stick to the manual.

its rather simple..you push the brake in to start, then move the shifter to one of the drive gears, either R(reverse) or D(drive), ease off the brake (the car should begin rolling slowly in the direction indicated by the gear (backward for reverse, forward for drive), and slowly push on the accelerator pedal. the car will drive just like a standard transmission car, except that you dont have to worry about pushing a clutch and changing the gear yourself. the car has a clutch integrated into the transmission, and it will apply it and change gears on its own. when you are done driving, stop the car, put the transmission in P(park), and switch off the engine.

Well, if you do mean automatic, it's about as easy as the other person said, just remember, there is NO clutch.. and the car does all the shifting for you..
