I have a Belkin wireless card that i use with my Linksys wireless router at home. When I go outside in the backyard to use, it continually jumps over to a neighbor's network. The only way I can keep mine is to keep clicking on mine to get mine back. Is there any way I can have my block my card to not pick up their signal?

My neighbors do have it encrypted, that's why i'm not sure why i'm picking it up. There is no usage because of the encryption, but it connects to it and my ip / gateway address changes - but it is not usable because of the encryption. I did remove it from my network profile, but that didn't help.

Yes, choose to see all available networks, right click on your neighbours network and choose no to automatically connect to this network.

Another way is to suggest your neighbour to add security to his network since you are constantly connecting to it then anybody can do it. If He/she add a password to the network, you won't be able to connect again.

This could be be because on your Linksys on the preferred networks is not on the top list, it will automatically connect on the order the networks are listed just make sure your Linksys is on the top of the list.

Tell them they need to secure their wireless network. That will definitely stop you from automatically connect to it. Also, it must be set up as a preferred network for you, take it out of the preferred networks list.
