(DARLIN') YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU Lyrics
Artist: Tina Turner
Album: What's Love Got to Do With It

(B.B. King, J. Taub)
Producers: Chris Lord-Aldge, Tina Turner and Roger Davies
Album: What's Love got To Do With It (94)

I know you love me baby
But you never tell me so
I know you love me baby
But you never tell me so
If you don't tell me that you love me
I'm gonna pack my rags and go

I live across the street from the jukebox baby
All night long they play the blues
I live across the street from the jukebox baby
All night long they play the blues
Every time they spin that record
Honey it makes me think of you

One little song in particular baby
Always sticks in my mind
One little song in particular baby
Always sticks in my mind
Every time they play it baby
I start right into cryin'
Oh baby please don't leave me

Now I'm gonna crawl across my bed, baby
Cry myself to sleep
Yeah I'm gonna crawl across my bed baby
Cry myself to sleep
And in my dreams I hear you saying
Baby please come back to me

I saw that movie years ago when it first came out, at a drive-in movie, with my ex-husband, and he kept talking to me, through-out the movie, and I kept trying to hear it, until I finally had to tell him, "Jay, I wanted to see this movie, since it first advertised on T.V., please, can we listen to this movie???" He was cool, and polite enough to allow me, my moment of concentration... I just love, love, love Tina, and thank-God she got herself a "Solo" act away, from that "Psycho" Ike!!!! She's much better off without him!!! That song sounds like the beginning of "Working for a man" every night and day, but I never saw the foot-steps of the city til I hitched a ride from a river boat, frame, big-wheel a keep on turnin' "Proud Mary" is the name of that song,....... I think, because, I know, they would do alot of talk-singing, in the beginning of their songs, at their concerts..... If you knew a little more lyrics, I could probably tell you for sure if its"Proud Mary" or another song...... Otherwise, I hope I was of some help.... Smile...
