Approach the company or person concerned, or the police if there are obvious signs you are being watched, thats harrassment and stalking

Well.. you probably can't.
If you believe you are, I would recommend changing some of your routine. I have done some Private Investigating and surveillance and it becomes difficult when piecing together patterns when a person does things that don't fit. If you're always going to the bar or night club, change it up by going to K-Mart or WalMart. You might also want to try to go to places that are remote, this will allow you to find out if someone is following you or not. But there is no way for you to find out if you are being investiagted.
Have eyes in the back of your head, or lay low for a while if you're up to something.

You are not supposed to know! You just got to be more precautions and aware of your surroundings--- and even THEN u will never really know if you are being followed or investigated... There are many tricks, sometimes is more than 1 person doing the investigations so u will NOT see the same person or same car all the time- Good luck!
