Which ear do gay guys typically wear an ear ring in? Im a masculine straight looking guy and usually wear one in both ears.. to go along with my other facial piercings... ( tongue, lebret and both brows ) so it doesnt really look all that "gay"... but if i were to wear only only one which ear would I wear it in... I realize a big part of this is stereotype... and thats sorta a good thing for me... I guess im looking for a subtle way to show my pride without having to wear one of my t shirts that says something like "does this dicck in my mouth make me look gay" After all Im not looking to get jumped anytime soon LOL.. if nothing else maybe yall could offer a few subtle ways of showing the pride.. Id appreciate it much...

Pink triangles?? youre kidding right Wmp??
Ok Ok Ok I confess Im pinkophobic.. but ill look for maybe some blue ones or green oens or something LOL thanks for that suggestion
LOL looks like our closet cases are up bright and early or couldnt sleep at all because of their anger and resentments twords people brave enough to accept themselves and take action to be happy.. no worries people... I've been there, done that too..I was more of a gay basher then anyone on this board.. If youre blessed you will be able to accept yourselves and be happy someday also.. good luck with that though

karrien...read my post again... I never mentioned anywhere at any time that i did nto like how ear rings looked... cause the fact is if I didnt like how they looked i wouldnt wear them... Im not a teen or even a young adult.. I got my piercings because i liked them and i wanted them... shame on you for jumping to conclusions after reading one post from me... try reading some of my past answers or the one other question I posted...

Lots of great positive answers... I appreciate the time you took to explain it...
I expected to come home from my doctors appointment and find this page flooeded with hatred from bitter angry people... The fact that the replies are mostly positive gives me hope there are some decent open minded folks left in the LGBT section of yahoo answers!! Again...all of your answers were great I really dont look foward to having to choose a best answer.. but ill think long and hard about it... thanks everyone :o)

Actually, the suggestion with the pink triangle earrings would be subtle. That's a very good suggestion for you, my Dear. For me, I wear brightly coloured smocks (not only comfortable but they have pockets) and have quite a few pride bumperstickers on the car...this isn't subtle, however. You might try wearing a rainbow bead choker but honestly, I thought the pink triangle earrings were the best so far. Blessings, my son.

Well I'm from California, It just doesn't really matter anymore... Str8 or Gay everyone wears 2 earrings... Old timers might say the right ear is gay... But these days everyone uses earrings as jewelry, Our oldest son is str8 and he wears two hoops, brow, nose.. He is very buff and metro... If people think he is gay he doesn't really care, neither does his girlfriend.... Just be who you are, a subtle hint would be a man sign on a ring or earring... Besides you know its the locking of eyes that lets people know you are gay.... that's subtle. .. Good luck ..

Actually that is kind of outdated. Most people don't bother with giving meanings to "which ear" anymore.
Of course if the earring is as big as a hubcap...that also makes a statement but whether it's "I'm Gay" or "I have no taste" really depends on who wears it.

The saying I always heard for straight guys is "left is right and right is wrong". So, I would take that to me that if you are gay and want to show it, wear one on the right.

If I remember correctly, the right ear.
I'm not sure that has been practiced much since the eighties, but then again, I'm not that in touch with the gay community.

Gay guys typically wear earrrings in their right ear, although i'm not sure why this is.
Pride comes from the heart bab e, you dont need to pin it onto yourself in order for it to show. x x x
