Its illegal to use the baby seat on the front seats in most places as this can be fatal for the baby in case of an accident.

Even in cars without air bags, put the baby in the back seat with the seat belts properly fastened, and the baby seat rear facing. If you disconnect a air bag you will be in violation of federal law anyway. Leave it alone. If you did happen to have an accident and your wife or best friend was in the passenger seat, and was injured...well...

The dealership will probably be able to do this for you for a small fee. I have an F-150 that has a lockout switch to disable the airbag. I thought that the windstar had the same feature.
You can also find a body shop that will remove the bag for a small fee and if you deal with some of the less scrupulous body shops, you could probably get a fake airbag to cover up the empty hole.

Yes, there are issues with this! First, what about a passenger's safety other than a baby? Second, a baby seat should be placed in the back seat of a car (in most states by law). Please don't endanger passengers and your baby this way - the baby will be fine in the back seat plus causing less distraction while driving.

DO NOT DO THAT!!!!!!.....Put your baby in the back seat. Disconnecting the air bag will make your insurance costs higher, and make you extremely liable if a passenger in that seat gets hurt in an accident.

the safest place for children in any car is the back seat. the front seat is dangerous for more reasons than the air bag. dissconnecting it would continue to cause a grater danger to the child. and tampering with the safty features of any automobile is not the brightest idea.

Go to the fuse box and pull the fuse for that bag. I would suggest that you put the baby in a rear seat. It is safer.

some minivans are extreme-high quality, yet windstar minivans are fairly gruesome. We used to have one and thank goodness we bought it. If the motor vehicle is lame, then sparkling it and it heavily isn't as lame.
