Wash them in warm water, and hang to dry in the sun. Before wearing, do this twice, then wash and dry normally. This will help, but if the fabric is of good quality, you may need to do this often...smiling. Drying is what really wears out fabric.

What I found works best is to wear them on a regular basis and then wash them. After a couple of months of this they will look the way you want them to. All mine look like this even though I didn't want them to.

I think you r out of luck actually. Try washing with ERA. My mother says if your clothes look dingy era will take care of it. Mabey this too . otherwise if totally red you re-die it !

Give them to your (girl?)-friend and ask her to wash it at 90 degrees C with some bleach added. Then blame her if they also shrunk....

Wash them repeatedly - not with whites though!
