The burning wood ash has concentrated chemicals in it, like nitrogen and potash.
These are what is in fertilizer. So basically
the ground has be fertilized and the grass
grows back looking better than it did before the fire.

it's basically burning off all the dead grass that's preventing the nice green grass from coming in. My dad had us burn the front yard every spring so that the yard would come in green and nice.

because it burns so fast that it don't harm the root system..and it clears all the stuff on time and ash is a natural fertilizer for the ground..

Were you expecting it to grow back in a different color?

Because it's brand new grass.
