No. The state of Florida has only 6 venomous snakes, these are: Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake, Timber Rattlesnake, Eastern Coral Snake, Southern Copperhead, Cottonmouth and Pygmy Rattelsnake. None of these snakes are green. You can find pictures of all six of them at this website:-

For pictures of the other snake species you might find in Florida try the website I've listed below in 'source'

Still if you are not sure of a snake's identity I would always, always advise against handling it.

Coral snakes are not green. So the person who said that is either very misinformed or very stupid. Either way they should do some research before answering questions they don't know about. There are only a few venomous snakes in the USA Rattle snakes, copperhead, Water moccasins (also known as cotton mouths) and coral snakes. None of them are green.

As others have noted, there are no green venomous snakes that are NATIVE to Florida. There are all kinds of non-native snakes that get dumped in Florida on an almost daily basis.

If you aren't knowledgeable enough to visually identify a snake, don't touch it.
