we have to find
5a-3b/5a+3b if we apply BODMAS rule then division should come first as there is no bracket in the question, then
5a-3*3/5*5+3b
5a-9/25+3b
5a+3b-9/25
5*5b/3+3b-9/25
25b/3+3b-9/25
so above que cannot be solved completely as one variable will always remains there.

Multiplying both sides by 5*3, we get 5a:3b=25:9. Then by componendo and dividendo, 5a+3b/5a-3b=34/16. Divide it by 1. The answer is 16/34=8/17.

5b = 3a and hence b = 3/5 a
Substituting the valu of b in 5a-3b/5a+3b we get 8/17

(5a-3b)/(5a+3b) = (5a/b - 3)/(5a/b + 3) = (25/3 - 3)/(25/3 + 3)
= (25-9)/(25+9) = 16/34 = 8/17

if you read the question as it is...then:
5a ~ 5*5 = 25
3b/5a ~ (3*3)/(5*5) = 9/25
3b ~ 3*3 = 9
25 - 9/25 + 9 = 33 16/25
if you meant (5a-3b)/(5a+3b), then see the first person gave
