Ok here is the deal, I just got this temp job during the summer which was supposed to run for about 7-8 weeks. Ok the summer is done, but I was offered a permanent positon about 4 weeks into it. I said sure b/c it seemed like the only option for money at the time. But recently my manager is becoming really nasty, and "supposedly I have been losing money" and coming up short. I have no way to explain why? Simply because I really have no idea how the money disappears, I count and double count money that I give to customers, yet I have been short everyday this week. Not only that, my shortcomings have been announced to the ENTIRE office. So I feel uncomfortable and I just dont feel like staying there, plus the pay sucks! Anything that I should say? OR how should I go about it b/c my temp term is almost done?

Simply be professional and give 2 weeks notice. If they ask why you're leaving, simply tell them that you want to pursue other options.

sounds to me like your boss is setting you up to take the fall for something worse in the future. Don't you have the ability to work somewhere else?? There's jobs everywhere. Apply somewhere else and be sure that after you are offered a new job that you thank you boss for the opportunity to work there, but that it is time for you to move on. Offer a two week notice, but ask to leave as soon as possible. Everything will be great and your boss will never know what hit him.

If at all possible try to give a two week notice..that way you can possibly use this employer for future refrence.Plus if u just leave some may perceive that as u being guilty of the money coming up short..just try stick it out darlin for 2 wks..show them u are strong and honest.Gl:)

Just give 2 weeks notice and leave after two weeks. That's perfectly acceptable.

Be polite and professional. Give a two week notice in writing. Use one of the many career/employment websites to help you with the letter. http://www.msn.com is a good one, so is http://www.monster.com

Good luck with your next position.
