I had a buddy that had this done...if he would have listened to the doctor he would have been back to work on Monday but he said he felt so good that he decided to go fishing and his jewels swelled up the size of grapefruits. They turned black and blue and got really sore........Normally ---if you go to the doctor on Friday and have the procedure done and you follow the doctors instructions, then under normally circumstances you should be back to normal by Sunday......I have heard there is very little pain---if you take it easy...
Good Luck----

Well, you shouldn't have it done if: you've never had any problems, neither of you have any problems with sex, and most importantly, you don't want it done. Now if you do have problems, it interferes with sex, and you want it done, go ahead.
The procedure is supposed be rather quick, probably less than half an hour. They'll give you some kind of anesthetic during the procedure and painkillers afterwards. It can take a few weeks to heal, during which time erections that pull on the stitches can be painful and the head will be oversensitive. After a while the sensitivity in the penis will die down and everything will feel different without a foreskin, for you and her probably. Afterwards your penis may continue to lose sensitivity without the foreskin's protection and you may need to use lube everytime, depending how you ask for it to be done.
So again, if neither of you are having problems with your foreskin and she just wants it for aesthetics or something, then I'd reconsider having it done. It's not fair of her to ask you to get it done if it's just for looks, as you may both regret it later.

It's like losing your best and favorite body part! It's like losing the most densely nerve packed region of your body, it's like removing your eyelids.
Actually, having her clit cut off would be analogous to removing the glans, but she could have her labia and clitoral HOOD (female foreskin) removed. And she could have a boob job (if not done yet) and lipo while she's at it? Why would she want it off? It's not a "snip" BTW, it's a big huge deal. My poor (intact) BIL was horrified to hear that entire foreskin was removed, not just the very end, which does contain 20,000 nerve endings. Again, this is a very odd request from her. Did you ask her to do something horrible? Because that's what she is doing to you. Having an adult circumcision is hell, from what men have told me. Some have gone on to try to restore what what lost, but it is never the same thing. If all else fails (try having her read the links, especially the one on women's preference) maybe she can just trade husbands with me. My ornery one is cut. But... no trading back! ;)

From what I understand, they have improved this procedure substantially and it can actually be done in the doctors office with a small laser procedure..You should be up and being your old self in no time flat. My husbands uncle had the old type of procedure done years ago and that only had him a little less active for 2-3 days.
