i think he manipulated the gas shortage of the 1970's and was in cahoots with OPEC to create a crisis in order to get reelected.
he allowed our people to be captured and held hostage in iran.he killed several men in a feeble show of attempting to perform a phoney rescue.

You give him way too much credit. He was simply a horrible President and an idiot. Well, he still is an idiot.

What does he hope to gain by undermining our country today simply because things aren't being done the way that he thinks they should be done? The vast majority of former Presidents keep their fingers out of government. It's only the Democrats who have such a lust for power that they simply can't let it go.

The jerk is a menace and a danger to our safety. He should be muzzled. Evil genius? No. Dangerous moron? Yes.

Yes, Jimmy was a Micro-Manager and therefore an inapt president, but it's unfair to accuse him of what you have accused him of.
Remember Arms for Hostages? That was Ronnie Reagan. Remember the oil embargo of 1972-3? That was Nixon.
To accuse Carter of creating a crisis to get re-elected is ludicrous.
Nixon wanted to cancel the elections in 1972, before Carter came on the scene.
You've got the whole thing wrong and your too full of hate to see it or admit it.
Read the history Earl. Read anything if you remember how!
I can't believe the vile things you people are saying about Jimmy Carter. I agree, he was not a great president. But HE WAS the most honest, sincere and forthright president we have seen since...who knows.
He may deserve your scorn for not being a good president (How about Nixon, Bush 1, Bush 2, Reagan the Iran-Contra Swindler), but he doesn't deserve your hate filled, uninformed, invidious, malicious, toxic and bellicose attacks. Grow up and stop being hateful because you think it's COOL!

Carter did not get re-elected. He did not manipulate the gas shortage, he was just incompetent. He beleived that the USA was the center of evil in the world, and by apologizing, appeasing, and kissing the behinds of other nations, we would atone for our evil ways.

Double digit inflation, double digit interest rates on houses, double digit unemployement....those are the reasons that Carter is the worst president ever....even worse than Harisson, or even Nixon.

No, Carter was too inept to manipulate the gas shortage. He tried to regulate the prices and he lost and so did million of us. We grew to accept failure from Carter, everything he touched went to crap. He was however very instrumental in getting President Reagan elected in a landslide vote.

I suggest you pick up an actual history book and quite smoking the jimson weed. Carter didn't get re-elected, for starters. Ronald Reagan actually praised Carter for his efforts to get the hostages out. Reagan got the credit, but Carter did all the work.
