Will your neighbour's teenager come to your garden all the time to pick up their ball after they throwing our garden all the times? They are always playing the ball in their driveway outside our garden and we live in the deteched house. Not only we have to suffer the noisy but also they just come into our garden like their own garden to take the ball. Our garden seems to be part of their playing area as the ball get in all the times. They never play the ball inside their garden. Before they used to come to the garden through the hole of the hedge and we stopped the hole to avoid them come straight in. But now they come straight in and without any our permmission to the garden if our gate is opened. I feel they don't have the manner to care and respect their neighbour. What will you do if you have this sitution? I am sure you don't want someone come to our property all the times. They seem to be ignore us and enjoy themselve. Next time I see them, will say "get out please"

We said to their parents before when their children broke the window. They did nothing.

Get a lock fitted on your gate. Have a word with their parents about not coming into the garden and also if the ball comes in again confiscate it from them and not let them have it back until they knock on your front door and give you a proper apology.
Then, if none of this works, tell them that if the ball comes in your garden one more time you will confiscate it for good and donate it to a charity or something. Perhaps have a fine they have to pay to get it back or something like that.
Make sure you warn both them and their parents before you do any of this, though.
Ignore the people who are saying that it is just because they are kids. When I was younger I used to sometimes accidentally get the ball in the neighbour's garden. It only happened a few times though and whenever it did we went round and knocked on the front door and politely asked for it back.
If they were out we would keep watch from the front room window to see when they came back and play something inside whilst we were waiting.

Either get to know your neighbors really well in a more positive way, get a privacy fence, or move.
Kids are kids. If you don't have any, then try and think back to when you were one. At least they have the respect to come and get the ball out of your yard. That is their way of respecting your property. They're KIDS.
You sound like the neighbor from hell. Loosen up a bit and go talk to the parents. You never know. You might end up liking them and becoming great friends. I love all of my neighbors. If I need anything, all I have to do is let them know, and vise versa. It makes a WORLD of difference when you communicate with one another. Don't just keep it all bottled up inside and become bitter. That IS the sickness in society, my friend.

I understand your irritation at these kids, but remember, you only get to do this (life) one time. And I think it would be much better to embrace the fact that you have some kids living next door that like to play ball and have fun and make noise.
My suggestion is to show them some hospitality. Serve them up some lemonade and hot dogs. Make them your friends. Your life will go much smoother laughing with these kids rather than griping and being an old curmudgeon. Curmudgeons are a dime a dozen, but older folks who reach out, not so common.
Your garden at the end of the year will be plowed under, but the kids, they may stick around if you are nice to them.
Don't say "get out please" but say "come in please."

speak to your neighbours first and ask them to stop their kids from entering your garden without permission
if that doesn't work then start to keep a log of the intrusions and show it to the parents tell them you are going to seek a ASBO on their children if it doesn't stop
if that doesn't work apply to the police community officer of your area for help
then go for the ASBO
It is every persons right to live without harassment

We have this problem with our neighbor, yet it's in our backyard that they keep throwing their ball and instead of coming to us to ask us to give it to them, they tear boards off of our fence to get it. I had a nice talk with thier parents, explained to them my concerns (we have dogs and I REALLY didn't want to loose them because their kids were tearing apart our fence) and since then, whenever they play ball, it's either in the street or they will come nicely to our door and ask for it. Funny though, since I talked to their parents the ball coming over our fence has dropped considerably.

will....... the scare is half the fun

Are you able to go out and kick a ball about yourself? If so, why not try to join in with them. Most youngsters respond better to us oldies when they see us as people and not just old gits..Because you have let them see your annoyance, they now think its a great game to wind you up.... Remember doing the same myself when I was young.... It also sounds as though you dont know a lot of your neighbours...Time to get out and get involved maybe

How irritated would you be if they had to ask every time to go into your garden. At least they are not vandalising your house. They are only playing with the ball and not getting up to other mischief.

go out buy identical balls but different colours, have them stashed in different areas around your garden and when they chuck theirs over, pull a switch on them. Freak em out!
Might as well have abit of fun your self, instead of getting all worked up!
if you do this tell me how it goes.
They will probably enjoy it too and relate to you alittle better.
Maybe next time they will listen to you.
