The fact that women stress out about men shows that no matter how tough we think we are, we actually do need them. Try to face that fact and life will get a little easier! I'm just learning how to get along with men in a way that benefits both of us, instead of expecting the man to sacrifice all his male pursuits in favour of my own selfish desires. They have real needs you know! They are human! They need us to! We have to understand each other or we fall apart.

Companionship, I would say is the biggest reason. Not many of us are happy living completely alone and two women living together would never work (we all know that from our flat sharing days).
But I don't really know what you mean when you say women stress out about men. We might stress out about a social system that still sees women paid less than men for doing the same jobs, for a massive under representation of women in politics, for grossly inadequate childcare facilities, for our nurturing role as somehow being seen as less important in our capitalist society... But men themselves? They're OK.

I have the same reason for men. It just happens. Some women feel as though they have to have a man. Women and men do need each other, maybe not all the time, but for diff things they need each other. That's why there's Adam & Eve not just Eve by herself and same for Adam.

Because society tells women that it doesn't matter how beautiful, sucessful, rich or talented you are- if you don't have a man...
I mean don't get me wrong... I like having men around... but you're right- I don't NEED a man around- unless there is like an icky bug or dead creature that needs to be taken care of- then I REALLY NEED a man!

Women like men for companionship, at least some do. The same could be said of women - we don't need you, but I prefer to have women around. My mom was nice to me, so I think that had a big influence on my liking most women.

men are good for taking your stress out on so we have to stress incase they dont come home so we can screeeeeeeam at them for being useless!!!!!!!
