When I consider ol skool, it's usually music from the 70's and 80's. The hits that were out only on vinyl. I love the music from yesterday. Today's music is fine, but the older music just takes me back to the good old days.

I think of "Old School" as 80's up until 93. 1993 was the last year that "New Jack Swing" was popular, when it faded out it was replaced with the over-produced, under-talented tripe that's presented to us today.

Of course, I'm solely referring to R&B/Classic Hip-Hop.
