Happy Birthday. I totally remember having to get up and turn the dial on our TV all the time when I was really little it was their way of teaching me numbers and encouraging me to get exercise! (code word for my parents were lazy!)

Happy Birthday...31 huh? It's all good. The 30's can be the best years. We are past our crazy 20s in which we had to try everything once to show that we were grown and entering into our 30s where we finally have some sense about ourselves. I turned 34 on Monday so wish me a Happy Belated Birthday! Enjoy your day and may happiness envelop you and saturate your entire being. Oh yeah, I remember the days when you had to turn the tv by the dial and you had to dial the telephone by rotary instead of push button. Also, I remember when floor model tv's were the thing to have. They were big as all outdoors and you could display an array of things on top of them. Remember that?

Happy Birthday. Yes I can remember being the remote control. My uncle across the street got a remote before we did. He would say something to my dad about getting a new tv so he could have a remote....dad would point at me and say, I've got one.

I remember being excited when my town finally got cable. I am now 37 and my daughter has no idea of life without CD's, microwave, cable television & answering machines. But I do remember Saturday morning TV with nothing but cartoons , TV channels shutting off to static about about 1am and never having to watch an infomercial early in the morning.

Only when I was very young. I'm 33 and we had remotes by the time I was a pre-teen at least.

We had only two channels, then three when I was just under 10, so there was not much channel surfing going on. Then we got this remote for the top loading vcr but it was attached by wire. Wow...that was sooooo cool! Thanks for bringing back the memories! :)

Old days? your only 31, I am 40 and young!! Remember the definition of age as you get older, it's the "lack of activity-defines age"
