First off, you have to want to quit.

Other things that you may need is motivation to stay quitting, like saving the money that you would spend on tobacco products and knowing that you can buy something awesome with it, etc.

Keep your hands busy, and not with eating all the time. If you need to eat, and we all do to survive, baby carrots are awesome with some dip.

Start walking outside when a craving comes at you. Wait 15-20 minutes because a craving will usually stop after that amount of time.

Brush your teeth if you feel like smoking. (We all need to do it at least twice a day anyway) :)

Find a support group to help you with this journey in life. It's gonna be a bumpy road, but you CAN do it. I have faith in you. You are gonna do great and thank yourself later for accomplishing this great feat.

Good luck to you!!!! :)

I cannot say if there is an easy method. There are some that take less willpower than others. I guess that would be easier. Other answers will probably tell you that. Also search Yahoo!Answers under smoking and you will get plenty of other advice as this question gets asked about once a week or more.

From me, I would suggest you change your eating habits to those that address the reason your body demands that you smoke, which may be a blood sugar imbalance. Seriously! Some of the reading I have done due to my diabetes suggests that the body gets addicted to substances to survive a chronic low blood sugar condition.

You may want to check out www.hufa.org to see some basic information on blood sugar imbalances both high and low.

Try a hypnotherapist. It sounds wacky, but I'm serious!!! I have a friend who went to a hynotherpist to quit smoking and he quit cold turkey and hasn't had the urge to smoke ever since.
