I have Spybot and Ad-Aware se. Both scans do not show me limewire as adware. But Yahoo anti-spy does. Wats the matter? Is limewire an adware?

It's not adware but I can't explain why Anti-Spy is detecting it, perhaps it is simply detecting a file that you downloaded from Limewire as a threat (I'm just saying it's possible). Other than that, I'm using Frostwire and Anti-Spy does not give me that problem.

When you installed Limewire you had to allow it in the firewall. When you scan in Yahoo anti-spy it comes up because you share files with other members of limewire. Read the details in the recommendations it explains it for you. You don't see any pop-ups when you are running Limewire. That's due to your pop-up blocker.

Since version 2, Limewire comes packaged with a load of spyware. You're best bet is probably to remove limewire and go with another file sharing program.

I put Limewire on the ignore list. Limewire did not do any damage to my pc and I have been using it for more than 2 years. Put it on the Ignore List. Limewire does not do any harmful changes to your pc.
