I live in South-Afica and would like to know when does the sims2 pets come out here! although it must be for playstation 2. and can you try for babies? is there a sims 3 coming out? should i rather wait for that?

For the PC, the target date is Oct 17, but no idea for Ps2 (I don't think they are sure either)
In the console games, you cannot try for babies, although you can marry and woohoo. :) You can read about the game here.

There are no announcements for a Sims 3 because there are still another years worth of expansions to do for Sims 2. So you won't want to wait that long.

What's new? A simulator game being masterminded by Sims genius Will Wright is coming soon. It is based on science fiction type critters in a game called Spore with projected release for 2007. This is so far a PC game during its design stage.
