My man is exactly the same, be careful with this hun, because in the end my man turned to punching me and headbutting me and that kind of thing, he obviously has a problem with drink if he acts like this when he has some, please try to talk to him and explain that you dont like who he is when hes drunk, dont try to argue with him about it when he is drunk, catch him the morning after when he has a stinking hangover, tell him that you are upset with this behaviour and that you dont like being around him at these times, if he really cares for you he will make an effort and not drink so much or around you. On the positive side my man hasnt drunk now for 5 months, so it can be done, there is hope for your relationship yet xxxxxxxxxx good luckxxxxxxxxxxx

Sorry to put it ever so bluntly and harshly but your boyfriend is a violent alcoholic... commonly refered to as a mean drunk.
Alcoholics come in various forms, shapes, and all have different ways of "being drunk" although there is enough common ground to know when a person is either just drunk, or "A" drunk.
Some drunks actually mellow out when under the influence, while others just seem to get out of control and act like total morons, even when not in public.
Your boyfriend seems to be someone who has serious alcohol issues. If he starts to act the way you described whenever he has a drink, it's because he has unconscious issues he can't deal with when being sober, and when under the influence, all logic and self-control goes out the window.
There are also those people who can't hold their liquor and so become these unpredictable and erratic personalities when under the influence. When it becomes a regular "thing" to drink and act this way, then it's also considered alcoholism.
He should seek help, because if he thinks it's not serious enough to worry now, then it may be too late when he does admit he has a problem with it.
Cheers

He has issues, things he might want to say to you but keeps inside. So when he drinks everything just sorta comes out. Thats pretty much common behavior for anyone who drinks, alcohol kinda numbs the brain activity so they end up just doing or saying things without rational thought. Why not have a talk with him about his behavior.

Stellar Artois should be named "Act-a-****" or "wife beater". Maybe even "left my brains on the pillowcase" Explain anything? My son completely changes when he drinks. Nicest bloke in the world sober- has a drink, becomes a first class *sshole

does he drink stella by any chance? alcohol affects people in different ways! have you talked to him about it? try and talk and tell him what he does because half the time when i'm pissed i act like a fool and don't remember the next day! try recording him aswell and showing him the next day that might make him think next time he wants to drink excessive amounts!

Alcohol seems to bring two traits out in people. A person is either a "happy" drunk or drinking turns them into obnoxious as*holes(had a friend like this).Video his behavior when drunk, then show it to him when he's sober. And don't leave anything out .Show him just how "great" he is when blitzed.

He can't handle his liquor. He's probably a binge drinker which means, he can't stop at just one or two, and drinks till he passes out. He should not drink at all, but if he does, he needs to know his limits.
