I'd always heard of Sleater-Kinney but never really bothered listening to them (thought they were one of those "cool kid college bands" that I was too much of a loser to listen to haha), recently started seeing someone new who is ALL about Sleater-Kinney and lent me a few cds, I am in love with that band.. then he tells me they broke up earlier this year and they actually did their last show this month. HA! Hows that for luck

Yeah i know what u mean! I was just getting into Death From Above 1979 then i heard they just broke up on August 3rd

same here, when i start to listen and get addicted to Smashing Pumpkins and Rage Against the machine, and a few months later in the year (2000) they broke up!!!
