I'm trying to think of some good stories for the newspaper in my small town. The problem is that there is very little going on so I am looking for something would not be timely, something for a feature or the like. I have been to Poynter.org and looked but haven't seen anything that would work for the paper. If any journalists or other people out there know of some sites that give some help with coming up with ideas, especially for small towns please let me know! Any site that would have a community forum or something of the like that relates to stories for newspapers would be fantastic too.Thanks and have a great day!

Head over to http://www.usnpl.com/ and take a look at what the other papers are writing about. You can draw a lot from their sources.

Try " Isurvived829.org ". It is a site where Katrina surviviors post their stories.
